OBJECTIVE

Installation of ground water harvesting and filtration to supplement municipal supply

SOLUTION

Groundwater harvesting was installed in order to supplement the municipal supply to the building. This water is treated for microbiological contaminants, then stored in a small tank. From there the water undergoes multiple stage filtration, into a large zincalume storage tank. The water is then made available "on demand" for the designated uses after passing through a last filtration step. Monitoring on the supplementary water as well as municipal water allows for accurate water data to allow for better water management.

RESULTS

Groundwater source used to supplement municipal water for use in flushing toilets, car wash and washing of solar panels.
