of ALTERNATIVE WATER
LITRE STORAGE CAPACITY
Making use of existing infrastructure in order to allow facility to make use of alternative water sources as much as possible
Raw water is pumped from a borehole as well as two basement sumps. Rainwater is also harvested when it rains. This water is stored in the raw water tank with an approximate capacity of 220,000L. A multi-step filtration system then cleans the water and it is then stored in a 93,600L tank. The system has been set up so that municipal water does not fill the tanks unless the ground water system is not operational.
Rain water and raw water from the basement sumps are being used as alternative water sources - essentially making it possible for the facility to use much less municipal water and providing storage and backup.
"...the market leader in the field of sustainable water solutions.
AQUAffection led by Gerrie Brink in my opinion is the market leader in the field of sustainable water solutions. Their ability to provide solutions to our developments which meets our sustainable targets whilst creating substantial financial savings are invaluable.
